Similar to the i7, this model uses state-of-the-art floor sensors to create maps and navigate neat rows. However, the i3+ EVO only stores one map, whereas the i7 has the capacity to store multiple maps. The i7's map is used to create virtual barriers and no-go zones, but not the i3+ EVO.
While the i3+ EVO is better in picking up surface debris than some of the other robovacs that we tested however, it's not the most effective when it comes to cleaning corners and edges. It is also less gentle on furniture despite being relatively silent. It pushed chairs away from walls, and made some collisions with the sides of our test bed, and it got stuck on cords and toys during testing.
